Description

An introduction to the theory and practical development, planning, management and presentation of a drafting project from start to finish. Topics include techniques of project planning, project design and execution, documentation and presentation. Students are required to apply project management techniques to a Capstone Project.

Objectives

 Explain the important characteristics of a project. Describe the significance of the concept, study, design, and implementation phases of a project. Plan projects using Microsoft Project Professional. Explain the processes involved in modeling and developing the specifications for a project. Demonstrate knowledge of industry requirements and industry practices for creating CAD drawings and/or parametric models. Conduct basic research and apply the tools of critical reading, analytical thinking, reasoning, and mathematics to effectively solve practical problems. Develop a portfolio.
